Welcome to Our Practice
For nearly 30 years, the eye doctors at The Eyecare Center have provided quality and state-of-the-art eye care to patients of all ages in East Idaho.
From the beginning, we have been proud to help friends, family, neighbors, and new patients achieve a better quality of life with the most recent advancements and fashions in optometry.
Our practice was started by Dr. Marshall Merrell and has grown to include our team of dedicated optometrists and staff in our two locations, Rexburg and Idaho Falls. Today, The Eyecare Center continues that legacy of care under the leadership of Dr. Melanie Clark.
As time has passed we’ve grown with these communities and we now look forward to serving you in our new offices. We invite you to learn about us and make an appointment to come see us soon.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of services to meet all of your needs. Here are a few of the different types of services that we offer:
Dry Eyes
In our mountain climate, we experience dry and dusty weather frequently. Don’t let dry eyes become a constant irritation. We have several options to treat dry eyes to enhance your comfort.
Comprehensive Eye Health & Vision Exams
We offer exams for patients of all ages; the American Optometric Association recommends that children have their first eye exam between 6 and 12 months of age.
Medical Eye Exams
We offer exams for patients with previously diagnosed eye or general health conditions known to affect the eyes – glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, diabetes, hypertension, long term use of high-risk medicines.
Contact Lens Fitting, Evaluation, & Insertion Training
We know how difficult it can be to transition over to contacts. Because of this, we offer this for our patients who want to wear contacts. We have the latest in contact lenses.
Emergency Eye Exams
Things happen that sometimes we cannot plan on. We offer these exams for eye infections, eye injuries, sudden changes to vision, etc. We even help those that need help after hours. Visit our Contact Us page for more information.
Optos Daytona
This provides an astonishing 200-degree view of the interior of the eye. When we see more of your eye’s health, we know better how healthy your eyes are. With this technology, we are able to see retinal tears or detachments.
